Before coming to the track to practice, please call first to check to see how the weather is. Practice is on Wednesday's only from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Call 301-475-5787.

The Bud Shootout for the Rookie Champ Flathead Class & Novice Rookie Champ is scheduled for December 5th, with the gates opening at 9:00 A.M. Practice starts at 10:00 A.M. - Rain out date is set for December 12, 2009 with the gates opening the same as above. The way you enter the Bud Shootout is fastest qualifier, winning the weekly races, ransom drawing, perfect attendance etc. We want to Congratulate the following for making the Bud Shootout for the following months:

April 2009 - Cori French #7 - Winning every race. Tra

May 2009 - Brian Coe, Jr. #92J - Winning every race in Novice Rookie Champ

June 2009 - D.J. Powell, Jr. #356 - Perfect Attendance

July 2009 - Cory Swaim #5 - Fastest Qualifier

Wow, it is now August 2009! Where has the year gone. We are so pleased with our karters, families and friends here at the King George Speedway. Our numbers of karters has fallen this year but we still have the best karters in the world. Our classes are small, but a lot of exciting racing going on here.

We continue to work on building our Kid Kart Champ Class. This is a spec class that runs

on a budget. They made this class, so that Kids could get into a form of racing and it would not cost parents a lot of money. Let me make it clear, when you start racing, it is never cheap, but when you run a spec class, that means everyone has to run the same equipment. If you are interested in getting your son or daughter involved in this class, please get us a call at 301-475-5787 and let us help you get started. Your child can start running at the age of 5 years old.

Just a reminder of some up and coming events. For the last few years, we have had an "Over The Hill Gang Race" and we are planning another one for September 26th, 2009. You must be at least 45 years and older. If you haven't signed up yet, you must get your application in as soon as possible. You can pick one up at the track or call and we will be pleased to send you one in the mail. This is a race full of fun. Never know what is going to happen. The entry fee is $30.00. The gates open at 2:00 p.m. and remember you can come and practice on Wednesday's from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

On October 17th, 2009 we will be having a 50 lapper for the Novice Rookie Champs. This class will be running first that day and then will be racing the 50 lapper at the end of the evening. The entry fee for the 50 lapper is $25.00. If you are a new Novice, we invite you to come and race with us.

We invite you to come and race with us here at the King George Speedway. Our location is directly off Rt. 301 in King George County, Virginia.
The races are usually held on Saturdays with the gates opening at 2:00 p.m. Practice is at 4:00 p.m. and racing begins at 5:45 p.m. If Saturday's get rained out, the race will be on Sunday.
